Soft Skills Workshop Series
Our Soft Skills Workshop Series dives deeper into each element of our exclusive Be EPIC Blueprint framework. The series enables students to easily grasp and immediately begin implementing the soft skills they learn. Students quickly see first-hand how these skills will serve them for a lifetime, both personally and professionally.
The series consists of six (6) workshops:
1 - Exhibiting Professionalism and Political Savvy
Creating a mindset and attitude for success, learning the job and how it connects to the organization's vision, mission, and goals, learning the written and unwritten rules, building a reputation for excellence and service, and serving internal/external customers and stakeholders.
2 - Developing Business Acumen
Identifying and solving business problems through critical thinking, innovation and creativity.
3 - Developing Emotional Intelligence
Managing emotions by knowing yourself, identifying underlying motivation, recognizing and regulating your own emotions, recognizing and knowing how to respond to other’s emotions, and developing resilience and a growth mindset.
4 - Managing Interpersonal Relationships
How to build and maintain collaborative relationships, including with people from different cultural backgrounds; learning about active and empathetic listening and how they relate to building collaborative relationships; learning how to de-escalate situations and resolve conflict.
5 - Communicating Effectively
Articulating ideas clearly and succinctly; identifying communication styles and learning how and when to use them; practicing active, reflective, and empathetic listening; learning how to give, receive, and accept feedback.
6 - Secrets for Powerful Presenting
Formula for mastering formal (e.g., presentations, speeches) and informal (e.g., speaking up in meetings) presentations.
